[Position]
The Application Engineer will be responsible for Crocus’ technical objectives including opportunity identification, product deployment/support, and all other aspects required to meet company targets.
The candidate must be proactive and understand productive while working in alignment with the philosophies, values and strategies of Crocus Energy in a high-growth start-up environment.
Work closely with Crocus’ software engineers, leadership team, and customers to get high-quality and features through the software project lifecycle (build, test and release on time)
[Responsibilities]
- Work closely with Crocus’ software engineers, leadership team, and customers to get high-quality and features through the software project lifecycle (build, test and release on time)
- Discovery : Conduct customer surveys and interviews to determine project feasibility and to identify potential future product features
- Delivery : Leads solution deployment efforts that best address end-user needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company and partner personnel
- Support : Work directly with customers to resolve technical issues
- Highly technical problem solver who understands system architecture, hardware and software interaction
- Determines networking solution required for customer’s site
- Deploys hardware and networking solutions as applicable at customer’s site
- Installs and configures Crocus’ CLP software at the customer’s site
- Performs pre-integration in a testing environment to obtain build confidence
- Performs onsite testing of Crocus’ CLP
- Provides feedback (positive and negative), both from the customer and from personal experience, about the CLP software so that Crocus can continually improve the CLP product offering
[Qualifications]
- BS degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields
- Strong knowledge of
- Linux (RHEL7, Centos 7 preferred)
- Docker
- Bash command line
- MySQL (or equivalent)
- Requirement analysis (gathering/discussing requirements from/with customers)
- Field testing/integration experience
- Authorization to work in the United States
[Preferred Qualifications]
- Ability to speak, read, and write both Korean and English in a business setting
- Experience and knowledge on any programming language and framework, such as Java, Spring Framework, javascript, and python
- Experience and knowledge on agile development methodology and tools such as Jira and Confluence
- Experience with Git or other version control software
- Networking (setting up wireless access points, firewalls)
