Technical Product Manager Intern
The Role
Gotham Greens is seeking a Technical Product Manager Intern who can help us advance the farm of the future. In this role, you will use data science, proprietary software tools, hardware, and data visualizations to optimize the way we grow produce and to enable strategic decision making. You'll work with senior leadership to define and scope opportunities for business impact and partner with engineering, data science, UI/UX to build and implement effective, well-designed solutions.
This role sits at the nexus of business and technology, so the ideal candidate is fluent in both and can liaise seamlessly across functions and people. We are looking for someone who is energized by thinking strategically to solve big questions and challenges and also loves going deep into the details and data. The ideal candidate is also an extremely effective project manager with experience leading complex initiatives through to completion.
We are also open to hiring summer interns focused in software development, data science, and business analytics.
What we’re looking for:
- Students pursuing an advanced degree in Business, Analytics, Computer Science or a related degree/experience
- 2+ years' experience in a highly strategic, analytical and operational role in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with engineers, data scientists, and project stakeholders to determine the function and priority of proposed products
- Structured thinking and the ability to prioritize competing projects
- Ability to find creative solutions to difficult problems covering multiple working groups simultaneously
- Familiarity with user experience design, technology projects, and web technologies
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of SQL & Tableau/data visualization software
