Human Resources Coordinator

RES is the nation's largest and most experienced provider of ecological restoration and water resource solutions. To date, we have restored over 328 stream miles, 58,024 wetland acres, and rehabilitated, preserved, and/or managed over 15,000 acres of special-status species habitats. RES operations include planting over 17,400,000 restorative trees and reducing over 267 tons of polluting nutrients. RES navigates and streamlines the environmental permitting process with solutions that balance economic development and ecological sustainability through the establishment of mitigation/conservation banks, permittee responsible turnkey mitigation, and corporate social responsibility projects.
 
The duties of a human resources coordinators vary; however, the main purpose of the Human Resources Coordinator is to support and assist the Human Resources team and leading the on-boarding process.

Responsibilities

Onboarding:
  • Lead the onboarding process
  • Process new hires post offer by ensuring new hires are accurately set-up in the HRIS and have cleared all background and pre-screen criteria prior to starting
  • Arrange day one activities for new hires including all required orientations and follow up to ensure all post-hire paperwork is completed on time.
Reporting:
  • Generate and distribute HR reporting as requested
  • Complete data requests for AAP, 401k Audit and Payroll audits
  • General reoccurring audit reporting as needed
Maintain Electronic Employee Files
Employee Training & Acknowledgement
  • Assign training and policy review for employees. This includes coordinating and scheduling training sessions, assigning documents for review, and ensuring all assigned training and policy documents are completed in the specified time
Complete all Verification of Employment Requests
Ensure all State and Federal Posters are up to date and displayed at all offices and home offices
Manage HR Inquiries:
  • Facilitating less than 24-hour responses to HR inquiries by managing general HR Inbox and ensuring follow up
Audit HR Data:
  • Complete audits of HR data in HRIS system to ensure accurate data
Manage HR Credit Card expense reports
Unemployment Claims: receive claims and proactively collect information from Human Resources Generalists and employee files to prepare response. Ensures timely response and follow up

Qualifications

 
  • 3 or more years of HR experience and/ or HR Administration position
  • Associate degree is a must, BA/BS is a plus
  • Knowledge of human resources processes and best practices
  • Experience in using Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint in particular)
  • Experience with HR databases and HRIS systems or other database reports, developing complex Excel spreadsheets, and/or working with uploads and downloads of data is required
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills required
  • Organized with keen attention to detail
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness and ability to learn unique and detailed aspects of the company’s business and incorporate them into work product
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information that must not be shared with others
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize, as necessary
  • Ability to take initiative in an environment of change and growth
  • A natural collaborator who values feedback and quickly adapts to change
  • Effective time management skills with attention to detail, planning, prioritization and follow-up while working independently with minimal supervision and exercising good judgment
