The Position and the Team

Steven Winter Associates, Inc. (SWA) is seeking a Video Production Intern to support the firm’s various marketing and education initiatives. The selected Intern will have a unique opportunity to advance their skills while working alongside an industry-leading team of architects, engineers, and sustainability professionals. Applicants must be proactive, have exceptional attention to detail, and have prior experience in video editing, production and/or digital media.
 
SWA’s CT office is not fully open due to COVID-19, so office requirements will be discussed during interview process based on SWA’s current COVID protocols. This is a paid internship for up to twelve weeks with the possibility of renewal or a full-time position. Hourly compensation is commensurate with experience and skills.
 
This position will report to the Director, Marketing.
 
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities will vary based on the selected Intern’s skillset, but may include:
  • Coordinating with staff to produce marketing and educational content
  • Editing existing media such as videos, podcasts, recorded presentations, and more
  • Creating new content such as videos, graphics, branded imagery, and more
  • Participating in team meetings, as required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
The role requires a self-starter able to work collaboratively with various team members.
 
Relevant Industry Skills:
  • Current college student or recent graduate in marketing, film production, and/or multimedia arts
  • Previous work or internship experience in marketing, graphic design, or video editing.
 
Preferred Technical Experience:
  • Prior experience with Adobe Creative Cloud applications, with an emphasis on Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, and/or InDesign
  • Prior experience editing video and audio content
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge of audio and video file formats and sharing platforms

  • Passion for furthering experience in media production, marketing, and communications

Physical Demands 
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee frequently is required to walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand.
The employee may be required to lift or move objects up to 5 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.
 
Travel Required 
Minimal travel may be required.
 
Working Environment 
All of the duties will be performed in an office/home office environment.
