Scientist II - Raw Material Chromatography

Summary:  
We are actively seeking highly skilled candidates with strong analytical chemistry experience who are interested in a lab position that would support the assessment of pharmaceutical raw materials (excipients), active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), and pharmaceutical finished products. The ideal candidate is one who will thrive working in a highly dynamic, team oriented environment; sharing the common goal of providing reliable data to our clients that can be used to improve the safety and effectiveness of pharmaceutical products.  
Candidates should have prior analytical experience with various wet chemistry techniques, MS, GC, HPLC, IC, Photodiode Array Detection (PDA), and Waters Empower Software and be able to demonstrate their interest in continuing to acquire new analytical knowledge and skills. Additionally, a four year degree in a physical science field, such as chemistry, is required.  Experience in cGMP & GDP environment preferred. Experience with the United States Pharmacopeia and the European Pharmacopeia is preferred.  
  
Job Responsibilities:  
  • Lead laboratory activities in support of testing pharmaceutical products and raw materials  
  • Support the method transfer activities of client or vendor supplied methods into the PLS laboratory.  
  • Lead the process of compiling, analyzing, interpreting, and documenting results  
Requirements:  
  • Seven years or more experience with MS, GC, HPLC, IC, PDA, and Waters Empower software.  
  • At least seven years employment experience in a related field 
  • cGMP experience preferred  
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently  
  • Ideal candidate is self guided, motivated, and possesses a strong sense of initiative  
  • Four-year or advanced degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry

Working Environment: 
Work is performed in a lab and office setting. Work is subject chemicals, fumes, gasses, noxious odors and related items in a lab setting.

Working Monday through Friday working first shift hours. This position is a permanent full time role.
