Fall 2021 Virtual Internship

Overview: A woman-owned, global company providing advisory services and integrated solutions for environmental and international security challenges. JG Global Advisory, LLC has an office based in Washington, DC and provides consulting services to public, private, and non-profit sectors for formulating sound policies and business development on law enforcement, international security, and environmental issues for full cycle project management, project design, assessments and implementation, business development, and corporate social responsibility issues. JG Global Advisory is seeking a virtual part-time intern. The internship is designed to provide a wide range of administrative and strategic experiences with environmental security issues. Responsibilities Internship Description: The selected intern will be working closely with the President of the consultancy. Internship responsibilities may include research, drafting correspondence for the President of the company, developing website content and monthly communications materials, assisting in marketing and outreach, and assisting with other daily activities. The intern will be virtually based. This internship is an excellent opportunity to interact with global environmental security experts, to learn about developing policy and navigating Washington politics, to get hands-on experience with a startup consultancy, and to receive exposure to environmental security topics. 
 
Qualifications Minimum Requirements: A successful candidate will be detail-oriented and have strong research, writing, organizational, and communication skills; and the ability to work both independently and as part of a small team. Experience with writing for websites, research and social-networking is helpful.  This position will help conduct research and analysis, business development, and serve as an innovative thinker to further our strategic policy and planning for clients.
 
• Background in international affairs, environmental or sustainability issues preferred. 
• Approximately 20 hours per week 
• Undergraduate degree or graduate degree in progress 
• Excellent research skills 
• Attention to detail and organizational skills a must 
• Computer skills including Google Drive, ZOOM, Microsoft Office Suite, Wordpress
• Experience in web design and crowdfunding
• Well-developed writing skills for both print and online 
• Adaptable, motivated and cool-headed under pressure 
 
Location: Virtual, but must be able to work normal business hours EST time zone
Compensation: Unpaid but may lead to a paid opportunity.
