Manager - Renewable Business Operations

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provides leadership, direction, supervision and training to support Hibbard generation operations to assure highest production and availability. 
  • Has oversight responsibility for operational issues, including maintenance of all equipment and performing facility analysis to identify and resolve problems to avoid failure modes. 
  • Responsible for the planning, prioritization and direction of routine and non-routine maintenance. 
  • Develops and implements procedures to be used by employees and contractors to safely perform maintenance duties. 
  • May serve as resource for complex situations. 
  • Responsible for assuring compliance with safety, environmental, and maintenance requirements.  
  • Assists in the development of long-term plans and budgets to meet cost containment goals. 
  • High degree of communication and interpersonal skills required to establish and maintain relationships with contractors, regulatory agencies and various internal departments. 

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor's degree required. 
  • Technical education or training in electrical/mechanical maintenance, generation, or equivalent field of study highly desirable. 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
  • Ten years or more experience in power operations, electrical systems and instrumentation, and/or maintenance, preferably specific to generation is required. 

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record. 
  • Skill set to perform high-end trouble shooting skills. 
  • Ability to take initiative in optimizing operating efficiency. 
  • Ability to work in a high volume, multi-priority environment. 
  • Supervisory skills. 
  • Computer literacy – with Microsoft Office suite as well as other types of industry-specific software. 
  • Writing skills. 
  • This position will report regularly in person to the Hibbard Renewable Energy Center office.
  • This position may be subject to assessment of skills, job match and/or aptitude.
